Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For February 2001

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1380.3 points at the end of February, an increase of 40.5 points from the closing value at the end of January.

Volume of trading in February was 887,855,000 shares, an increase of 151.67% over the January volume. The value traded in February was KWD184,730,240 an increase of 98.10% over the January trading value. There were 16,352 transactions in February, an increase of 102.37% over the January figure.

There were 86 listed companies at end February. The shares of 82 companies were traded in February. In February of the traded companies, 49 increased in price, 24 decreased in price and 9 companies registered no change.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end February was KWD6,235,856,000.
