Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For December 2005

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 11,445.1 points at the end of December, a decrease of 424 points from the closing value at the end of November. The weighted index reached 562.24 points at the end of December, a decrease of 25.32 points from the closing value at the end of November.

Volume of trading in December was 3,544,364,500 shares, a decrease of 37.7% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in December was KWD 2,146,987,540 a decrease of 36.8% over the previous month's value. There were 168,568 transactions in December, a decrease of 30.3 % over the previous month's number of transactions.
