Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For April 2000

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1401 points at the end of April, an increase of 22.8 points from the closing value at the end of March.

Volume of trading in April was 1,047,690,000 shares, an increase of 118.26% over the March volume. The value traded in April was KWD172,963,990 an increase of 149.60 over the March trading value. There were 22,253 transactions in April, an increase of 121.20% over March.

There were 85 listed companies at end April. The shares of 74 companies were traded in April. In April, of the trade companies, 33 increased in price, 39 decreased in price and 2 companies registered no change.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end April was KWD5,873,858,000.
