Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For 3rd Quarter 2005

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 10,233.3 points at the end of September, an increase of 1,422 points from the closing value at the end of the second quarter. The weighted index reached 512.11 points at the end of September, an increase of 59.13 points compared to the second quarter.

Volume of trading in the third quarter was 14,375,992,000 shares, an increase of 8.5% over the previous quarter's volume. The value traded in the third quarter was KWD 7,207,111,265 a decrease of 6% over the previous quarter's value. There were 511,912 transactions in the third quarter, a decrease of 1.3% over the previous quarter's number of transactions.

155 companies were traded in the third quarter. Of the traded companies, 104 increased in price and 50 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange was 30,830,530,000.
