Kuwait Stock Exchange Monthly Statistics December 1999

The Kuwait Stock Exchange Index reached 1442 points at the end of December 1999. It registered an increase of 28 points from the value at the end of November 1999. In December 464,080,000 shares were traded, an increase of 18.54 per cent over the November figures. The value traded in December was 85,096,060 Kuwait Dinars, an increase of 28.27 per cent over November. The number of transactions in December was 7,840, up 15.13 per cent over November. There were 85 listed companies at the end of 1999 and the market capitalisation was 5,965,835,000 Kuwait Dinars.
