The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1,545.1 points at the end of July. It registered a decrease of 25.2 points from the closing value at the end of June. The volume of shares traded during July was 696,177,500 shares, a decrease of 57.32%. The value of trading in July was KWD150,500,520, a decrease of 49.53%. There were 16,344 transactions in July, a decrease of 51.37%. At end July there were 83 companies listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation of KWD6,288,354,000.
