Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange Signed Memorandum of Understanding With Stock Exchange Of Thailand

Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) to facilitate development of channels of communication and to foster continuing relationship between the two exchanges.

The MOU was signed on the sidelines of the Government Annual Consultation Between Malaysia-Thailand 2003 held in Langkawi on Sunday, 27 July 2003. For the signing of the MOU, KLSE was represented by its Executive Chairman, Dato' Mohd Azlan Hashim and SET was represented by its President, Mr. Kittiratt Na-Ranong.

Commenting on the MOU, Mohd Azlan said it established a platform for both exchanges to explore co-operation in various areas in the development of exchange business and the securities industry.

"The MOU further strengthens the cordial and strong bilateral working relations between KLSE and SET.

"Moving forward, the growth and progress of both KLSE and SET can be developed for the mutual benefit of the two exchanges and the regional securities industry," he said.
