Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange Expands Stockbroking Network

The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) expands its network of stockbroking companies with the admission of Borneo Securities Sdn Bhd (Borneo Securities) as a member company of the Exchange.

This admission increases the present network to sixty four stockbroking companies providing stockbroking services to all investors at the KLSE.

Borneo Securities will be admitted as a member company of the Exchange and will begin trading with effect from Wednesday, 7 June 2000. Borneo Securities Holdings Sdn Bhd, which wholly owns Borneo Securities, will be admitted as a non-dealing member of the Exchange also with effect from 7 June 2000.

Based in Sibu, Sarawak, Borneo Securities will increase to three, the number of stockbroking operations in Sarawak. Presently, Sarawak Securities Sdn Bhd operates in Kuching, with a branch in Miri. With the expansion in KLSE’s network of stockbroking companies, investors in Sarawak will have greater access and opportunities to manage their investments.
