The Korea Exchange (KRX) and the KIRS (Korea Investor Relations Service) plan to hold the first ever joint investor relations (IR) conference for listed small- and medium-sized enterprises and other newly listed companies at the KRX Seoul office building on Monday, August 18.
The upcoming conference consists of (1) presentations on the stock market status as well as investor relations of companies where the attendance of general investors will be allowed and (2) small group meetings where institutional investors including analysts will participate.
- (Presentations on the Stock Market Status) Research heads of reputable securities firms will be invited to provide presentation on "Outlook for the Second Half of 2014 Stock Market".
- (Investor Relations of Companies) Four companies* selected from those who have been enrolled beforehand will provide corporate information for general investors, etc. and have Q&A sessions thereafter.
* KC Green Holdings, Visang, Cosmax, Ilyang Pharmaceutical
- (Small Group Meetings) Ten participant companies will have meetings concurrently at their respective booths.
Any institutional investors intending to attend small group meeting need to be enrolled in advance, whereas the presentations on the stock market status and IRs do not require such enrollment.

The upcoming event will mark the first ever IR conference to be jointly held by small- and medium-sized enterprises that have been listed on the KOSPI market.
Particularly, the event is expected to serve as an opportunity to promote IR activities of listed companies in the future, given that newly listed firms such as Fine Besteel and BGF Retail will also be present.
This conference is expected to lay a foundation for the KRX to provide "Quarterly IR Support" for listed companies to encourage their investor relations activities and also to enhance the level of investors' interest in listed small- and medium-sized enterprises, thereby contributing to the vitalization of the stock market.
