The KRX has established a TF that consist of external specialists who can help blue-chip companies in Asia to be listed on KRX markets on January 19, 2015. Investment bankers, attorneys and accountants who well know the Vietnam and Indonesian markets compose this TF and they will facilitate the listing procedures of companies in these markets. The TF now focuses on Vietnam and Indonesia but it plans to expand to other countries gradually.
The members of TF and KRX will actively attract blue-chip companies in Vietnam and Indonesia. TF will hold listing conference and invite blue-chip companies and offer strategic listing consulting.
Mr. Wondae Kim, vice president of the KOSPI market, mentioned that he will invigorate the listing of foreign companies on KOSPI Market in 2016. He also emphasized that members of the TF put great efforts to list many blue chip companies on the Korean market enhancing competitiveness of the Korean capital market.
In addition, KRX has started a research project regarding the issues related to the listing of Vietnamese and Indonesian corporations at overseas markets to support listing supporting activities on January 15. The KRX will research on laws, accounting issues, and other information including obstacles to be listed on KRX market of Vietnamese and Indonesian corporations. Also, the KRX will work together with financial authorities of these countries to co-manage regulatory risk.
