Kroll is excited to announce our partnership with the Government of the Republic of Suriname. The agreement was signed on Thursday 26 January in the presence of President Santokhi. During a high-level visit, Kroll executives Tom Everett-Heath, Jack De Raad and David Lewis met the President, ministers and operational leaders across government and its various agencies. The Government indicated its serious commitment to understanding and effectively dealing with the risks they face, protecting their economy and the integrity of the financial system. Kroll will work with the Government of the Republic of Suriname to build strong measures to protect against the threats they face and meet their international obligations and expectations, especially as identified by the mutual evaluation of Suriname published last week by the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force.
The Government of the Republic of Suriname chose to work with Kroll given our international reputation for strengthening countries’ defences against money laundering, terrorist and proliferation financing, including our leading investigations and intelligence practice, and our deep experience of working with international institutions and governments around the world on sensitive and complex risk and financial advisory matters.
David Lewis, Global Head of Anti-Money Laundering Advisory at Kroll, commented:
