Metamako, the supplier of ultra low-latency devices to exchanges and the trading community, was named in the 50 Best Fintech Innovators Report, compiled by KPMG in conjunction with Australasian Wealth Investments (AWI) and Financial Services Council (FSC). The report names the world’s most innovative, disruptive and best-performing companies in fintech worldwide.
Ben Heap, CEO, AWI Limited, said: “Global fintech financing has more than trebled in the past three years to an estimated US$3 billion annually – and the level of innovation in the financial services sector has been unprecedented over the past 12 months.“

Metamako was selected after a worldwide search for innovative fintech companies. The list ranks companies by four factors: degree of sub-industry disruption, total capital raised, rate of capital raising, location and the judging panel’s (subjective) rating of the degree of product, service, customer experience and business model innovation.
AWI, FSC and KPMG are looking to the future, with the intention that as the fintech industry continues to evolve, future iterations of this report will see it become a register, not just of the 50 best innovators, but of all fintech companies globally. In this inaugural report US- and UK-based companies dominate the list, taking a total of 36 of the 50 places.
