Prior to his current appointment as CEO & President, Mr. Shin served as Vice Chairman of the Korea Securities Dealers Association. His previous post at KSDA has allowed him to observe the Kosdaq Stock Market from very close. Mr. Shin also held position as auditor of the Korea Development Bank and served numerous years for the Ministry of Finance.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Ho Joo Shin said: "I am very pleased to be taking up this appointment as Chief Executive of the Kosdaq Stock Market Inc. Observing my predecessor Dr. Jungho Kang who has so actively served in the development of the Kosdaq Stock Market, I feel much obliged to continue his successful role on developing this exciting new market."
Mr. Shin graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor's in Business Administration and began his professional career at the Ministry of Finance. In 1981, he received his Master's in Economics from Vandervilt University.
