Webzen(A69080) replaces Kangwon Land as the first candidate of the Reserve list and these component changes will be effective with the opening of the trading on Thursday, September 4, 2003.
Aside from this, the Kosdaq Index Committee confirms that 6 companies will be replaced in Kosdaq 50 as a result of its regular review.
These changes will be effective as of September 15, 2003.
Kosdaq 50 is a market capitalization weighted index comprised of 50 core issues that represent Kosdaq Stock Market. The Kosdaq Index Committee reviews the Index every six months. In order to be included in Kosdaq 50, stocks should meet liquidity criteria and rank high in market capitalization as well. Options and futures based on Kosdaq 50 are currently traded in the Korea Futures Exchange.
