Korea Stock Exchange : Trading Fee Reduction For Options Trading

To lessen the financial burden of member firms, the KSE announced that it will reduce trading fee for options trading from May 1, 2003. Accordingly, the trading fee rates for Index Options and Equity Options are lowered from 0.00036% of contract value to 0.00025%.

This reduction does not affect the existing measure that the KSE exempted the member firms from trading fees for Equity Options until the end of August 2003. With this reduction, the member firms of the KSE can reduce the trading cost of approximately USD 27 million (KRW 32.8 billion) per year.
