Korea Exchange (KRX) Plans First IR Expo In Korea

Date 25/07/2005

Korea Exchange (KRX) plans to host the ‘2005 KRX IR Expo’ in COEX, Seoul on November 2-6, 2005 under the banner ‘All that you need to know about Korea’s leading companies: IR information, technology, and products’. The expo has been organized to support the IR and other business-related activities of Korea’s listed companies.

The expo, an upgraded version of the overseas IR events that listed companies have held so far, will be the biggest business expo of its kind ever held in Korea. The intended goals of the expo are:

  • to attract investment and stabilize stock prices;
  • to provide maximum information on IR, technology, and products so that listed companies can be fairly evaluated; and
  • to provide marketing opportunities for participating companies through product presentations and demonstrations.
Asia IR Tour

The expo will ultimately be expanded into the ‘Asia IR Tour’, which the KRX is currently organizing in conjunction with other key exchanges in Northeast Asia. The proposed event is expected to play a leading role in increasing the international demand base for Asia’s capital markets.
