KLSE To Restore System In Shortest Possible Time

The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) would like to announce it will restore its system to proceed as normal in the shortest possible time. A system failure was detected this morning and the KLSE Information Technology Division is doing a thorough check immediately to resolve the problem.

KLSE would also like to announce that trading will be temporarily suspended. Trading will be suspended with effect from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 26 June 2000. A further announcement will be made by 1:00 p.m. today, Monday, 26 June 2000. KLSE will keep the public informed of further developments.
