The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) maintains that its press release issued on 31 January 2000 titled "SGX recognises Effective Capital's Proposal" is an accurate and true account of the meeting held between KLSE and Singapore Exchange Ltd (SGX) on Monday, 31 January 2000. KLSE noted with concern SGX press release of 1 February 2000 titled "KLSE Statement Misrepresents SGX Position'. KLSE noted that a substantial part of the SGX press release included matters which were not even raised at the meeting held between KLSE and SGX on Monday, 31 January 2000.
