The Kansas City Board of Trade has received numerous calls asking whether the exchange intends to implement seasonal storage rates for its Hard Red Winter wheat contract similar to what was recently approved for the Chicago Board of Trade's Soft Red Winter wheat contract.
The KCBT has no intention of implementing seasonal storage rates for its HRW wheat contract. Storage rates will remain a constant 4.5 cents per bushel per month.
