Kansas City Board Of Trade Clearing Corp. Elects Officers, Directors For 2001

Scott P. Smith, with Benson-Quinn Commodities, Inc., today was re-elected president of the Kansas City Board of Trade Clearing Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kansas City Board of Trade.

Michael L. Martin, with Atwood Commodities, LLC. was elected first vice president, and Daniel L. Gibson, with Wolcott & Lincoln Futures, LLC, was elected second vice president. W. Michael Farmer, an individual member, was elected secretary-treasurer.

Elected as directors were John P. Crow, an individual member; John W. Joyce, with FIMAT USA, Inc.; and Daniel C. Roemer, with Frontier Futures, Inc. Max L. Barney is assistant vice president and manager of the Clearing Corp.

The Clearing Corp. reconciles all futures and options trades at the Kansas City Board of Trade and guarantees the financial integrity of all trades.
