Kansas City Board Of Trade: Christmas And New Years Trading Hour - Wheat Markets To Be Closed On Christmas Eve

The Kansas City Board of Trade has altered its holiday trading calendar in an effort to coordinate with other grain futures markets. The hard red winter wheat futures and options markets will not be open for trading on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2002.

However, December 24, 2002 will still be deemed a "business day" for purposes of accepting delivery notices, making delivery of the December 2002 wheat futures contracts and for determining the last trading day of the December 2002 contract. The last trading day for the December 2002 wheat futures contract will remain Thursday, December 19.

The exchange will be closed on December 25 and January 1.
