The Kansas City Board of Trade announced today the promotions of two staff members to officer positions within the exchange.

Shelia A. Summers has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Deborah J. Bollman has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Marketing. These promotions follow the resignation of Candice A. Bowman, former Vice President of Marketing.

Summers joined the KCBT in August 1996 as Electronic Information Editor, and was named Assistant Vice President of Marketing in January 1999. A University of Kansas graduate, Summers came to the exchange from Vance Publishing Corporation. As Vice President of Marketing, Summers will direct marketing, education and public relations for the exchange.

Bollman joined the Kansas City Board of Trade in May 1996 as a staff member, was named Marketing Assistant in August 1997, and was promoted to KCBT Review Editor in April 1999. Bollman is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Bollman will assist in directing marketing, education and public relations efforts for the exchange in her role as Assistant Vice President of Marketing.

Bowman is leaving the exchange to take a position as Marketing Director of AgriClick, an Internet community for agribusiness.

"We are pleased to announce the promotions of Shelia and Deborah," said Michael Braude, KCBT President. "We are very fortunate to have two highly qualified people in the marketing department who can step right into their new positions with the benefit of extensive knowledge of the industry. We have valued Candice's service to the KCBT and wish her much luck in her new position. "
