June Trading on MEFF Holding up 70% on May - almost 2 million contracts traded

June trading on MEFF Holding reached 1,946,650 contracts, a daily average of 88,484 contracts.
MEFF Renta Fija traded 415,434 contracts, an increase of 25% on the previous month. Daily trading averaged 18,883 contracts. Average daily trading for the first half of the year stands at 1,896 million euros.
On June 30, the exchange closed with an open interest of 21,749 contracts.
MEFF Renta Variable traded 1,531,216 contracts, almost doubling May's volume and trading a daily average of 69,601 contracts. Average daily trading for the first half of the year equals 2,563 million euros.
IBEX-35 futures traded 399,446 contracts in June, a daily average of 18,157 contracts. IBEX-34 options traded 76,028 contracts, a daily average of 3,456 contracts.
A record total of 1,055,742 contracts were traded in June in share options, tripling the previous month's volume, an average daily volume of 47,988 contracts. The most heavily traded option was BSCH with 366,408 contracts, the equivalent of 36 million shares.
Open interest at June 30 stood at 1,242,315 contracts.
The EURIBOR contract, trading on the Euro-GLOBEX platform, traded a total of 441,279 contracts, a daily average of 20,085 contracts. Open interest at the end of the month stood at 81,842 contracts. Also on Euro-GLOBEX, trading by MATIF members on the BONO E-10, which began in May, has reached 10% of trading in this contract.
