Share Trading in June
The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 2.4 billion, as compared to EUR 2.5 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 287,118 as compared to 252,510 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 671 billion, compared to EUR 494 billion in June 2009.
Derivatives Trading
The average daily trading volume in derivative products amounted to 534,658 contracts, as compared to 482,826 contracts during the past 12-month period. The average daily trading volume in share products was 263,858 contracts, as compared to 224,498 contracts during the past 12 month period. The average daily trading volume in index products was 186,266 contracts, compared to 161,337 contracts during the past 12-month period. Fixed-income derivatives traded 84,534 contracts, compared to 96,991 contracts during the past 12-month period.
