May 2006 saw all WSE indices rise. The index, which increased the most, was blue-chip companies’ index WIG20.

Cash market turnover amounted to PLN 25,844 million and was 25% lower than in May 2006. On the futures market turnover totalled PLN 34,969 million and was 13% lower than in the previous month.

From June 5, 2006, the ENERGOPOL POLUDNIE company was moved to continuous trading (from single-price auction system with two auctions daily).

On June 7, 2006, the allotment certificates for shares of the F series of ZAKLADY ODZIEZOWE „BYTOM” company were traded on the Exchange for the last time (abbreviated name BYTOM-PDA).

On June 8, 2006, SFINKS POLSKA company debuted on the Exchange. 8,780,951 ordinary bearer shares of the A, B, C, D and E series (abbreviated name SFINKS), as well as 500,000 allotment certificates for shares of the F series (abbreviated name SFINKS-PDA) were introduced to trading. Between June 8 and 12, 2006, the subscription rights for (shares of the K series) GETIN HOLDING company (abbreviated name GETIN-PP) were traded on the Exchange.

From June 12, 2006, trading in shares of SOKOLOW company has been suspended.

On June 12, 2006, EUROFILMS company debuted on the Exchange. 860,000 ordinary bearer shares of the A series, 5,684,517 ordinary bearer shares of the B1 series, 1,444,685 ordinary bearer shares of the B2 series, 5,000,000 ordinary bearer shares of the C series (abbreviated name EUROFILMS), as well as 4,026,653 allotment certificates for shares of the D series (abbreviated name EUROFILMS-PDA) were introduced to trading.

On the trading session on June 13, 2006 the daily volume of trading in futures amounted to 59,227 contracts being all-time high for the WSE derivatives market.

On June 19, 2006, 3,499,861 investment certificates of the A series issued by BPH FUNDUSZ INWESTYCYJNY ZAMKNI?TY BEZPIECZNA INWESTYCJA 5 (closed-end investment fund) were quoted on the Exchange for the first time (abbreviated name BPHFIZBI5).

On June 19, 2006 BANKIER.PL company made its debut on the Exchange. 5,672,842 shares of series A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H (abbreviated name BANKIER.PL) as well as 1,500,000 allotment certificates for shares of the I series (abbreviated name BANKIER.PL-PDA) were introduced to trading.

On June 20, 2006 PAMAPOL company debuted on the Exchange. 6,000,000 allotment certificates for shares of the B series (abbreviated name PAMAPOL-PDA) were introduced to trading. On June 22, 2006, MISPOL company debuted on the Exchange. 7,909,280 shares of the A - F series (abbreviated name MISPOL) as well as 3,650,000 allotment certificates for shares of the F series (abbreviated name MISPOL-PDA) were introduced to trading.

On June 23, 2006, 1-year bearer bonds of the Bank BPH S.A. (A123 series), maturing on July 11, 2006 (abbreviated name BPHOB0706) were traded on the Exchange for the last time.

After the trading session on June 23, 2006, BIOTON company was first traded after split (1 : 5).

On June 26, 2006, GINO ROSSI company debuted on the Exchange. 3,000,000 allotment certificates for shares of the C series (abbreviated name GINOROSSI-PDA) were introduced to trading.

As of June 28, 2006 a term of office of a new WSE Management Board began. The WSE Management Board currently consists of: Mr Ludwik Sobolewski - President, Mrs Lidia Adamska - Board Member, Mr Adam Maciejewski – Board Member and Mrs Beata Jarosz – Board Member.

In June 2006, besides the debuting companies, the following listed companies introduced their shares to trading on the WSE: INVAR & BIURO SYSTEM, BYTOM, INSTAL KRAKÓW, BRE BANK, GRUPA ONET.PL, GRUPA LOTOS and MACROSOFT.

Changes in the WSE indices

Following the trading session of June 12, 2006, portfolios of the WIG and WIG-PL indices were supplemented with 4,649,000 shares and 500,000 allotment certificates for shares of SFINKS company.

Following the trading session of June 14, 2006, portfolio of the WIRR index was supplemented with 4,026,000 shares and the same number of allotment certificates for shares of EUROFILMS company.

Following the trading session of June 16, 2006, the Exchange performed an extraordinary adjustments of the lists of main indices’ participants.

In the WIG20 index no changes were made.

In the MIDWIG index FARMACOL, STRZELEC, OPOCZNO, DEBICA, JELFA and BACA were replaced by LUBAWA, SKOTAN, MOSTALEXP, SWISSMED, STALPROD and SWARZEDZ. The number of index participants has not changed.

HYDROBUD became a new participant of the WIG index. LENTEX, SWISSMED, PUE, WOLCZANKA and PROSPER were moved from the WIRR to the WIG index, while SKOTAN was moved from the WIG to the WIRR index.

The shares of EKODROB were removed from the WIRR index portfolio, and at the same time NAFTA, FON and allotment certificates for PROCHNIK shares became new WIRR index participants.

The WIG-PL index portfolio was supplemented with shares of HYDROBUD, KRUK, INSTALKRK, HYDROTOR, UNIMIL and PROJPRZEM companies. At the same time shares of BEDZIN company were removed from this index.

Following the trading session of June 21, 2006, the WIRR index portfolio was supplemented with 2,447,000 shares and 1,500,000 allotment certificates for BANKIER.PL shares.

Following the trading session of June 22, 2006, the WIG, WIG-PL and WIG-food index portfolios were supplemented with 6,000,000 allotment certificates or PAMAPOL shares.

Following the trading session of June 26, 2006, the Exchange performed extraordinary adjustments of the lists of participants of – respectively – the WIG, WIG-PL and WIG-food indices. As a result, 9,403,000 shares and 3,650,000 allotment certificates for MISPOL shares supplemented the indices. At the same time SOKOLOW shares were removed from these indices.

Following the trading session of June 27, 2006, in connection with the end of trading of BIOTON shares with subscription rights for the new issue of shares, the packet of shares of this company in the WIG20 and TechWIG indices changed. As the result, currently there are 13,315 shares of BIOTON in the WIG20 index and 5,545 shares of BIOTON in the TechWIG index.

In the case of the WIG and WIG-PL indices, the adjustment was connected with re-calculation of the adjustment coefficients for these indices.

Following the trading session of June 28, 2006, lists of the WIG and WIG-PL indices were supplemented with 3,000,000 allotment certificates for GINOROSSI shares.
