JSE Equities Market Achieved Record High In March

JSE Equities Market has achieved record high for the month of March with respect to Value, Volume and number of Trades.

Value traded increased from the previous high of R178,902 million achieved in February 2006 to the new high of R195,580 million which is 89.06% higher than the corresponding month in 2005.

Volume traded also recorded a high of 8,199 million from the previous high of 6,638 million achieved in February 2006. This record is 81.48% higher than the volume traded in March 2005.

The number of trades reached a record high of 682,359 which is 64.84% higher than the trades recorded for March 2005.The previous high of 609,456 was achieved in February 2006.
