JSE Achieves All Time High Value and Volume Traded in One Week

The JSE is pleased to announce that an all time weekly high turnover of ZAR19,980 million was recorded for the week ending July 16, 1999. The previous weekly high of ZAR11,117 million was recorded during the week ending April 16, 1999. Furthermore an all time weekly high of 1,753 million shares traded was also recorded, surpassing the previous record of 1,106 million shares traded for the week ending April 16, 1999.
