JSE Achieves All Time High Value and Volume Traded in One Day

The JSE is pleased to announce that an all time high for daily turnover of R11,419 million was recorded on July 12, 1999. The previous high of R3,923 million was recorded on June 17, 1999. Furthermore, an all time daily high of 1,018,434,085 shares traded was also recorded, surpassing the previous record high of 304,087,037 shares traded achieved on January 13, 1999.
