J.P. Morgan – New Member Of The Copenhagen Stock Exchange - The Fourth New Member This Year

Date 08/06/2005

J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd. has been approved as a new member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, and thus the Exchange can welcome the fourth new member this year. J.P. Morgan begins trading on the Danish equity market on June 10, 2005.

The number of remote member firms on the equity market now totals 20 out of a total of 45 member firms. The remote members’ market share has increased significantly in recent years, and has reached 28 percent in the first five months of this year.

President Jan Ovesen says: “We are proud to welcome J.P. Morgan as a new member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. In recent years, the Danish equity market has become increasingly attractive and therefore it is only natural that also the major global players wish to trade directly in Danish shares.”

J.P. Morgan is already a member of the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Börse, Euronext (Paris and Amsterdam) and the OMX Exchanges in Stockholm and Helsinki. With the membership of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange J.P. Morgan improves its presence on OMX Exchanges and will then be directly active on the three largest equity markets within the OMX Exchanges division.
