Jouni Torasvirta Appointed Acting Managing Director Of Helsingin Pörssi

As the new HEX OM is being created, Mr. Jukka Ruuska, the President and CEO of HEX Group, will concentrate on the integration process. Jouni Torasvirta has been appointed acting Managing Director of Helsingin Pörssi, a subsidiary of HEX Plc, as of 27 May 2003. Jukka Ruuska will continue as the President and CEO of HEX Plc and will be the Chairman of the Board of Helsingin Pörssi as of 27 May 2003.

Jouni Torasvirta is the Executive Vice President in charge of Marketplace business unit and a member of the Executive Board.

HEX and OM announced on 20 May 2003 plans to merge the companies in order to create a leading Nordic and Baltic marketplace. According to the proposed integration plan, Helsingin Pörssi will be a part of HEX Integrated Market Division, which offers investors access to 80 per cent of Nordic and 75 per cent of Baltic equity markets.
