The 15th Latibex Forum, organised by BME, begins tomorrow with an opening event that will be presided over by Fernando Jiménez Latorre, Secretary of State for the Economy, and Antonio Zoido, Chairman of BME.
Four large companies with a strong footing in the region will take part in the opening panel, with the participation of José Manuel González-Páramo, Executive Director, BBVA, Arlindo Porto Neto, CEO of the Brazilian energy company Cemig, Sergio Aranda Moreno, Member of the Executive Committee and General Director for Latin America, Gas Natural and Matías Rodriguez Inciarte, Second Vice-president, Banco Santander.
40 Latin American companies and 160 European intermediaries and investors will come together during this three-day gathering, in Madrid.
On the first day, renowned economists and investment managers will deal with such topics as the Robustness of companies in Latin America and will offer a Global vision of the challenges facing the region. For the first time, Mexico as an investment opportunity and the Model portfolio of Mexican stocks will be analysed.
The morning agenda for the second day will be dedicated to Latin companies from the research point of view and to the Prospects for the Latin American financial system and innovation as a driver of growth. It is worth mentioning the address, after lunch, by Julio Cesar Maciel Ramundo, Executive Director, BNDES and Director of Capital Markets. In the evening, Brazil will take centre stage, featuring The competitiveness as a distinctive feature of Brazilian companies, which will be analysed in depth by experts.
The last session will be completely dedicated to The investment as an internationalisation strategy in the Andean region and the panels will deal with the Challenges and opportunities for the region, challenges of financing for the internationalisation and the competitiveness of companies, among others.
