The 2012 tax reform improved the Bond Income Tax Exemption Scheme and introduced a tax exemption for interest on certain revenue bonds received by foreign investors.
Following the above, FSA now publishes “Taxation of Revenue Bonds Q&A” in order to make it widely known. FSA expects that this Q&A will support the development of the revenue bond market in Japan.
