Japan's Financial Services Agency Exchanges Letters For Cooperation With The Office Of Insurance Commission Of Thailand

The Financial Services Agency and the Office of Insurance Commission of Thailand signed the Exchange of Letters for Cooperation (EOL) on August 18, 2014.

In view of the growing globalization of the world’s financial markets and the increase in cross-border operations and activities of regulated entities, the EOL provides a formal basis to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship between the two authorities.

Based on the EOL, in pursuance of the objective of promoting the development of sound insurance regulatory mechanisms and insurance markets, both authorities will work on sharing experience and information on legal/regulatory framework and developments relevant to insurance products and financial markets.
