Japan Minister Minister Of State For Financial Services, KATO Meets Maria Luis Albuquerque, EU Commissioner for Financial Services, Savings And Investments In Tokyo

On September 11, 2025, Mr. KATO Katsunobu, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of State for Financial Services, met Ms. Maria Luis Albuquerque, the Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union, European Commission.
 
Both parties exchanged views on issues including the developments in capital markets and their own initiatives toward digital finance in Japan and the European Union. They also reaffirmed close cooperation between the Financial Services Agency and the European Commission on financial sector issues.
