On December 10, 2021, representatives of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority and the Financial Services Agency met virtually at the 1st meeting of the Insurance Supervisory Dialogue.
In light of the exchange of letters between EIOPA and JFSA on co-operation in the area of insurance supervision conducted on February 26, 2021, this Dialogue was held with the aim of enhancing mutual understanding and facilitating cooperation on insurance supervision between the two jurisdictions. In the meeting, EIOPA and JFSA discussed recent developments on regulatory and supervisory matters in both countries, including responses to natural catastrophes and climate change, and digitalization.
