In this new position Angstadt will help manage Archipelago's legal team in addition to advising and establishing policy on matters concerning ArcaEx market structure and communication with regulators and other governmental entities. She will continue to report directly to Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel Kevin O'Hara.

Prior to joining Archipelago in October 1999, Angstadt served as S.V.P., Director of Capital Markets Compliance for EVEREN Securities, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois where she was counsel to the Capital Markets Division including: corporate finance, public finance, syndicate, research, OTC equity trading, taxable fixed-income trading, municipal securities trading and institutional sales. Angstadt has also served as a Senior Associate for Schiff Hardin & Waite, also in Chicago, Illinois, where she represented securities exchange markets, broker-dealers and investment advisers. In addition, she has worked as Senior Counsel in the Division of Market Regulation at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. Angstadt holds a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and a J.D. from De Paul University Law School.
