Islamic Finance achieves ever growing interest globally in the aftermath of the world financial crisis among practitioners and academics alike. A barrier to understand the issues surrounding the concepts of Islamic finance are various technical terms. Unfortunately a standard encyclopedia is still somehow missing.
This gap shall be closed now online: IslamicFinance.de releases its new WIKI, the first free online encyclopedia, where experts contribute and edit the relevant industry content for Islamic banking and Takaful. The entries are peer controlled, as such all eligible editors can correct each other to obtain a level of comfort regarding the quality and relevance of the content.
The founding editor of IslamicFinance.de, Michael Saleh Gassner, says "the new Islamic Finance WIKI will contribute to better understanding of Islamic finance, and surely over time become the prime reference. Knowledgeable experts are still welcome to join the elusive club of editors for this collaborative project."
