The review confirms that the number of trades dealt on the Irish market remains solid [1.75 million year to date compared to 1.85 million over the same nine months a year ago] but given the relative weakness in the market value of stocks quoted on the Exchange compared to 2008 the total value of equities traded on the Exchange fell from €96 billion a year ago to €40.8 billion at the end of September 2009.
