The Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) has expanded the Global Exchange Market (GEM) to include the listing of investment funds. Investment managers now have a choice of two markets when listing on the Irish Stock Exchange - the Main Securities Market (MSM) and the GEM.
The ISE currently lists over 7,000 investment fund securities on the MSM and is the #1 venue for listing funds worldwide according to recent statistics published by the World Federation of Stock Exchanges.
On the launch of GEM for investment funds, Gerard Scully, Director of International Primary Markets, said “Following on from the successful launch of GEM in 2009 we are delighted to now expand this offering to include investment funds and provide asset managers with another option for listing on the Irish Stock Exchange.”
Investment fund managers with investment funds listed on the MSM include Blackrock, Fidelity, Vanguard, GAM, Lyxor and Goldman Sachs.
