Iris Weidinger And Steffen Köhler Become Members Of The ECC Management Board

Iris Weidinger and Steffen Köhler have now been appointed as members of the management board of European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) following notification to the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The appointments are in addition to their existing executive functions within European Energy Exchange AG (EEX). At its meeting on 11 October 2012, the Supervisory Board adopted this resolution regarding their appointment to the clearing house’s management board.

Following this restructure, the ECC Management Board now comprises the following members:

• Peter Reitz, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
• Steffen Köhler, Chief Operating Officer (COO)
• Dr. Thomas Siegl, Chief Risk Officer (CRO)
• Iris Weidinger, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

All the members above are also concurrent members of the Management Board of the parent company, European Energy Exchange AG (EEX). As a result, the management boards of the company operating the exchange and the clearing house now have the
same personnel.

European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) is the central clearing house for energy and related products in Europe. In its function as the central counterparty ECC assumes clearing as well as physical and financial settlement of transactions concluded on APXENDEX, the CEGH Gas Exchange of the Vienna Stock Exchange, EEX, EPEX SPOT, HUPX and Powernext or registered for OTC clearing on these exchanges.
