The Securities and Exchange High Council appointed Dr. Hassan Galibaf Asl as the new chairman for Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO).
Dr. Shapour Mohammadi stepped down after nearly four years as the head of SEO since August 2016 and his resignation was accepted by the Council; as a result Dr. Ghallibaf Asl was appointed by a unanimous vote of the Council’s members as the new chairman of SEO on Saturday, 11 April 2020.
Hassan Ghallibaf Asl holds a PhD degree in financial management from University of Tehran and has recently been the dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics of Alzahra University. He had also been the CEO of Tehran Stock Exchange for 10 years between 2008 and 2018. His other past assignments include a university instructor and a faculty member of the Management Department in Alzahra University, head of Iran Investment Company and director of Omid Investment Management Group Company.
