Investor Relations Guide From The Copenhagen Stock Exchange

Date 05/05/2003

The Copenhagen Stock Exchange has just released an Investor Relations Guide, which has the purpose of inspiring listed companies in their communication with existing and potential shareholders and other stakeholders.

Investor Relations is primarily about communication and about establishing and maintaining relations with investors, analysts and journalists. In continuation of the advice that the Exchange offers to the listed companies, we wish to provide an input to how Investor Relations activities may be presented. The Exchange's Investor Relations Guide is thought as an inspiration for not only the management and Investor Relations Officers, but also for others engaged in the field of financial communication.

First Vice President Erik Bruun Hansen commented: "To support the listed companies' disclosure of information, the Guide provides concrete advice and guidelines to how the companies may present their IR activities. We hope that the Guide will serve as a tool to build investor goodwill in the listed companies and be a catalyst for an expansion or an actual establishment of Investor Relations activities in the individual company."

During the preparation of the Guide, the Exchange has regularly been in contact with a number of selected investors, companies and analysts, who have all contributed positively to the contents of the Guide.

Ole Søeberg, supervisory board member in the Danish Investor Relations Association and Vice President in TDC, said: " Focus on Investor Relations is increasing - primarily as a result of the demands that investors place on the listed companies. The Exchange's Guide is a useful tool with many good ideas and suggestions to how the companies can communicate with their investors and other market participants to promote the interest in listed shares and thus the share trading volume. I recommend everyone engaged in the field of financial communication to incorporate the Guide into their day-to-day work."

The Guide is available on the Exchange's website1, cse.dk and a printed version will be sent to all listed companies and subscribers to the "Handbook for Issuers" on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

1 The Guide is presently available in Danish only, but will be downloadable in English shortly.
