The value of the Electronic Order Book[1] in equities on the Main Market was PLN 15.0 billion in February 2015, a decrease of 16.3% year on year. The average daily value of the Electronic Order Book in January-February 2015 decreased by 10.7% year on year to PLN 818.9 million per session while the average daily number of transactions was 61.8 thousand in January-February 2015.
The total value of trading on NewConnect stood at PLN 167.1 million in February 2015, an increase of 53.4% year on year. The value of the Electronic Order Book in equities on NewConnect increased by 51.6% to PLN 146.3 million in February 2015.
The volume of trading in single-stock futures was 71.9 thousand contracts in February 2015, an increase of 59.4% year on year.
The volume of trading in index futures was 235.7 thousand contracts in February 2015. 20 June 2014 was the last trading day of WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN 10. Only WIG20 futures contracts with a multiplier of PLN 20 are in trading as of 23 June 2014. For data comparability, the historical volume of trading in WIG20 futures with a multiplier of PLN 10 (before 23 June 2014) was divided by 2 in the index contract line of the table attached to the press release. After the correction, the volume of trading in index futures decreased by 17.3% year on year in February 2015.
The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 63.6 billion at the end of February 2015, an increase of 6.0% year on year.
The value of cash transactions on TBSP increased by 76.9% year on year to PLN 31.9 billion in February 2015.
The value of trading in structured products was PLN 66.0 million in February 2015, an increase of 68.8% year on year. The value of trading in investment certificates increased by 49.9% year on year to PLN 7.0 million.
The volume of forward transactions in electricity was 23.9 TWh in January-February 2015, an increase of 23.4% year on year. The volume of spot transactions increased by 10.9% year on year to 4.9 TWh in January-February 2015.
The volume of trading in property rights to certificates of origin increased by 12.1% year on year to 5.5 TWh in February 2015.
The total volume of spot and forward transactions in gas was 12.4 TWh in February 2015, compared to 0.2 TWh in February 2014.
The capitalisation of 420 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 609 billion (EUR 147 billion) at the end of February 2015.
The total capitalisation of 471 domestic and foreign companies listed on the WSE Main Market was PLN 1,285 billion (EUR 310 billion) at the end of February 2015.
The company Gekoplast was newly listed on NewConnect in February 2015. The value of the offering was PLN 5.4 million. Bonds of the companies Regis and Empik Media & Fashion were newly listed on Catalyst in February 2015. The total value od the bonds newly listed in February 2015 was more than PLN 137 million.
WSE held 20 trading sessions in February 2015, the same number as in February 2014.
