The average daily value of trade in equities in October 2015 increased by 2.5% year on year to PLN 819.9 million and the average daily number of transactions increased by 29.3% year on year to 68.4 thousand. However, due to the lower number of sessions in the month (22 in October 2015 v. 23 in October 2014), the value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the Main Market decreased by 1.9% year on year to PLN 18.0 billion in October 2015. The incremental value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the Main Market was PLN 172.3 billion in January-October 2015, representing a decrease of 2.3% year on year.
The total value of trading on the Electronic Order Book on NewConnect increased by 142.3% year on year in October 2015 to PLN 190.9 million. The value of trade on NewConnect was PLN 1.6 billion in the ten months of 2015 compared to PLN 1.0 billion in January-October 2014.
The volume of trading in index futures was 335.6 thousand contracts in October 2015 compared to 441.6 thousand contracts in October 2014, representing a decrease of 24.0% year on year. The volume of trading in single-stock futures increased by 83.0% yoy to PLN 104.7 thousand contracts in October 2015.
The value of bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 67.7 billion at the end of October 2015, an increase of 11.3% yoy. The value of trade on the Electronic Order Book on Catalyst was PLN 286.6 million in October 2015 (an increase of 20.1% yoy), the highest turnover since January 2014.
The volume of spot transactions in electricity increased by 6.8% yoy to 2.2 TWh in October 2015. The total volume of (spot and forward) transactions in electricity was 144.8 TWh in January-October 2015, representing a decrease of 2.5% year on year.
The volume of trading in property rights to certificates of origin increased by 26.0% year on year to 3.7 TWh in October 2015. The total volume of spot and forward transactions in gas decreased yoy to 6.6 TWh in October 2015 while the incremental volume in January-October 2015 increased by 5.7% year on year to 93.1 TWh.
The capitalisation of 427 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 559.0 billion (EUR 131.1 billion) at the end of October 2015.
The total capitalisation of 479 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market was PLN 1,169.9 billion (EUR 274.3 billion) at the end of October 2015.
Five companies were newly listed on the Main Market in October 2015: AAT HOLDING (IPO value PLN 57.5 million), APS ENERGIA (IPO value PLN 7.8 million), GRODNO, ADIUVO INVESTMENTS (IPO value PLN 22.0 million), Inpost (IPO value PLN 121.4 million).
