January saw a rally on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. GPW Main Market total equity turnover value reached PLN 26.6 billion, up by 10.6% year on year. EOB equity turnover value increased by 10.8% year on year to PLN 26.4 billion. Average daily EOB equity turnover value stood at PLN 1.26 billion, up by 16.1% year on year. The WIG index reached 87,367.57 points at the end of January, gaining 12.9% year to date.
NewConnect total equity turnover value was PLN 104.2 million in January 2025, down by 31.4% year on year. NewConnect EOB equity turnover value dropped by 31.3% year on year to PLN 103.5 million.
GlobalConnect equity turnover value increased to PLN 7.1 million in January 2025 vs. PLN 1.1 million in January 2024.
Derivatives Market
Total derivatives turnover volume was 0.8 million instruments in January 2025, a decrease of 26.6% year on year. Index futures turnover decreased by 29.8% year on year to 448,200 futures. Currency futures turnover decreased by 31.0% year on year to 221,600 futures. Single-stock futures turnover increased by 4.2% year on year to 91,900 futures in January 2025.
Structured Product and ETF Market
Structured product turnover value increased by 72.4% year on year, reaching PLN 294.4 million in January 2025. Total ETF and ETC turnover value increased to PLN 176.5 million, up by 45.57% year on year.
Debt Market
The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst reached PLN 131.1 billion at the end of January 2025 vs. PLN 110.1 billion at the end of January 2024. Catalyst EOB bond turnover value increased by 40.0% year on year to PLN 611.4 million in January 2025.
Treasury BondSpot Poland total bond turnover value was PLN 116.8 billion in January 2025, up by 223.3% year on year.
Capitalisation of GPW Listed Companies
The capitalisation of the 366 domestic companies listed on the GPW Main Market amounted to PLN 801 billion (EUR 190.1 billion) at the end of January 2025. The total capitalisation of the 410 domestic and foreign companies reached PLN 1,652.3 billion (EUR 392.2 billion).
New Listings
Shares of the company INSIDE PARK, which buys and renovates tenement houses, divides them into stand-alone units and sell the units, were newly listed on NewConnect in January 2025. The offering was worth PLN 953,400.
