The total value of trade in equities on the GPW Main Market was PLN 19.6 billion in September 2017, representing an increase of 10.9% year on year. The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book increased by 10.7% year on year to PLN 18.3 billion and the average daily value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book stood at PLN 869.6 million in September 2017, an increase of 16% year on year. The WIG index stood at 64,289.69 points at the end of September 2017, representing an increase of 36.5% year on year.
The total value of trade in equities on NewConnect decreased by 16.7% year on year. The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the GPW alternative market was PLN 109.7 million, a decrease of 13.2% year on year. The incremental value of trade on the Electronic Order Book on NewConnect was PLN 1,077.5 million year to date, representing an increase of 19.6% year on year.
The total volume of trade in derivatives was 732.5 thousand contracts in September 2017, representing a decrease of 12.8% year on year. The volume of trade in index futures was 450 thousand contracts in September 2017, representing a decrease of 12.6% year on year.
The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 90.2 billion at the end of September 2017 compared to PLN 78.7 billion at the end of September 2016. The value of trade in non-Treasury bonds on the Electronic Order Book on Catalyst increased by 16.3% year on year to PLN 229.8 million in September 2017.
The total value of trade in bonds on TBSP was PLN 63.9 billion in September 2017, representing an increase of 10.5% year on year.
The total volume of spot and forward transactions in electricity was 12.5 TWh in September 2017, representing an increase of 6.3% year on year. The volume of forward transactions in electricity increased by 10.6% year on year to 10.7 TWh in September 2017.
The total volume of transactions in natural gas was 13.9 TWh in September 2017, representing nearly a 2.5-fold increase year on year. The volume of trade on the spot market increased by 42.4% and stood at 1.4 TWh.
The volume of spot and forward transactions in property rights to certificates of origin excluding the rights to certificates of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) was 3.9 TWh in September 2017, representing an increase of 17.1% year on year. The volume of trade in property rights to certificates of origin of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) was 60.3 ktoe in September 2017 compared to 58.4 ktoe in September 2016.
The capitalisation of 429 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 672.07 billion (EUR 155.96 billion) at the end of September 2017. The total capitalisation of 479 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market was PLN 1,428.5 billion (EUR 331.51 billion) at the end of September 2017.
The companies Śląskie Kamienice and XTPL were newly listed on NewConnect in September 2017. The total value of their IPOs was over PLN 19.2 million.
Bonds of the company MCI Management (PLN 25 million) were newly listed on Catalyst in September 2017.
