The total value of trade in equities on the Main Market was PLN 18.6 billion in November 2016, representing an increase of 21.6% year on year. The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book increased by 21.8% year on year to PLN 18.0 billion and the average daily value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book stood at PLN 900.1 million, the highest figure since March 2014. The average daily number of transactions on the Electronic Order Book was 73.6 thousand in November 2016, representing an increase of 7.7% year on year.
The total value of trade in equities on NewConnect decreased by 46.5% year on year. The total value of trade in equities on the alternative market was PLN 105.9 million in November 2016 and the value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book was PLN 89.4 million.
The total volume of trade in derivatives was 677.7 thousand contracts in November 2016, representing an increase of 28.2% year on year. The volume of trade in index futures was 348.7 thousand contracts in November 2016, representing an increase of 14.7% year on year. The volume of trade in other futures also increased significantly. The volume of trade in single-stock futures increased by 64.9% year on year (158.1 thousand contracts in November 2016) and the volume of trade in currency futures increased by 52.3% to 128.4 thousand contracts.
The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 80.6 billion at the end of November 2016, representing an increase of 18.8% year on year. The value of trade in bonds on the Electronic Order Book on Catalyst increased by 40.0% year on year to PLN 221.2 million.
The total value of trade in bonds on TBSP was PLN 49.2 billion in November 2016, representing an increase of 7.8% year on year.
The total volume of transactions in gas was 15.8 TWh in November 2016, representing an increase of 185.9% year on year; the biggest increase was reported on the forward market, where the volume of trade stood at 12.3 TWh (+231.3% YoY). The total volume of spot and forward transactions in electricity was 9.8 TWh in November 2016, representing a decrease of 60.5% year on year.
The volume of spot and forward transactions in property rights to certificates of origin net of the rights to certificates of energy efficiency (“white certificates”)[2] was 3.4 TWh in November 2016, representing a decrease of 10.0% year on year. The volume of trade in property rights to certificates of origin of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) was 55.3 ktoe[3] in November 2016.
GPW held 20 trading sessions in November 2016, the same as in November 2015.
The capitalisation of 435 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 526.7 billion (EUR 118.7 billion) at the end of November 2016. The total capitalisation of 488 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market was PLN 1,008.9 billion (EUR 227.3 billion) at the end of November 2016.
The companies ARTIFEX MUNDI with an IPO of PLN 99.4 million and BIURO INWESTYCJI KAPITAŁOWYCH with an IPO of PLN 20.3 million were newly listed on the GPW Main Market in November 2016.
The companies T-BULL with an IPO of over PLN 6.89 million and 71MEDIA with an IPO of PLN 0.75 million were newly listed on NewConnect in November 2016.
