In April 2024, total equities turnover value on the GPW Main Market was PLN 33.3 billion, representing an 85.2% increase year on year, while Electronic Order Book turnover value increased by 78.5% year on year to PLN 31.3 billion. Average daily Electronic Order Book equities turnover value stood at PLN 1.49 billion, a 53.0% increase year on year. On the last trading day of April 2024, the WIG index closed at 84,569.65 points, representing a 34.3% increase year on year.
Total April 2024 NewConnect equities turnover value decreased by 14.5% year on year to PLN 138.2 million, while Electronic Order Book equities turnover decreased by 15.8% year on year and stood at PLN 134.9 million.
Total April 2024 GlobalConnect equities turnover value was PLN 2.4 million, compared to PLN 0.7 million in April 2023.
Total April 2024 derivatives turnover volume was 1.0 million contracts, representing a 22.4% increase year on year. Index futures turnover volume increased by 16.1% year on year to 663,400 contracts. Currency futures turnover volume increased by 36.8% year on year to 202,000 contracts. Single-stock futures turnover volume increased by 52.8% year on year to 123,000 contracts.
In April 2024, structured products turnover value increased by 80.3% year on year to PLN 253.2 million. Aggregate ETF and ETC turnover value increased by 37.5% year on year to PLN 124.4 million.
At the end of April 2024, Catalyst listed non-Treasury bond value was PLN 119.5 billion, compared to PLN 100.6 billion at the end of April 2023. In April 2024, turnover value of bonds on Catalyst’s Electronic Order Book decreased by 47.5% year on year to PLN 435.4 million.
In April 2024, total TBSP bond turnover value was PLN 41.3 billion, compared to PLN 28.8 billion in April 2023, representing a 43.3% increase year on year.
Total April 2024 electricity turnover volume was 9.2 TWh, representing a 17.5% decrease year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume decreased by 20.0% year on year to 3.8 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume decreased by 15.7% year on year to 5.4 TWh.
Total April 2024 natural gas turnover volume was 9.5 TWh, representing a 10.3% increase year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume increased by 19.4% year on year to 2.0 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume increased by 8.2% year on year to 7.5 TWh.
Turnover volume of April 2024 spot transactions in property rights to certificates of origin, excluding rights to certificates of energy efficiency (“white certificates”),2 was 1.7 TWh, representing a 20.7% decrease year on year.
In April 2024, turnover volume of property rights to certificates of origin of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) increased by 54.3% year on year to 12.8 ktoe3.
April 2024 turnover volume in Guarantees of Origin of electricity generated from renewable energy sources increased by 31.7% year on year to 4.9 TWh.
At the end of April 2024, the market capitalisation of 369 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 807.0 billion (EUR 186.7 billion), while the total market capitalisation of 411 domestic and foreign companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 1,584.7 billion (EUR 366.7 billion).
Shares of the company WOODPECKER.CO (transfer from NewConnect) were newly listed on the GPW Main Market in April 2024.
Shares of the companies NO GRAVITY DEVELOPMENT S.A.4 and B-ACT S.A. (offering value: PLN 4.2 million) were newly listed on NewConnect in April 2024.
Corporate bonds of BUDLEX FINANCE SP. Z O.O. (issue value: PLN 42 million) were newly listed on Catalyst in April 2024.
