In September 2022, total equities turnover value on the GPW Main Market was PLN 23.0 billion, representing an 8.7% decrease year on year, while Electronic Order Book turnover value decreased by 13.0% year on year to PLN 21.4 billion. Average daily Electronic Order Book equities turnover value stood at PLN 972.8 million, a 13.0% decrease year on year. On the last trading day of September 2022, the WIG index closed at 45,970.64 points, representing a 34.6% decrease year on year.

Total September 2022 NewConnect equities turnover value decreased by 68.5% year on year to PLN 118.0 million, while Electronic Order Book equities turnover decreased by 68.9% year on year and stood at PLN 116.1 million.

Total September 2022 derivatives turnover volume was 1,874,900 contracts, representing a 22.0% increase year on year. Index futures turnover volume increased by 146.4% year on year to 1,338,200 contracts. Single-stock futures turnover volume decreased by 36.4% year on year to 153,500 contracts. Currency futures turnover volume decreased by 51.3% year on year to 356,300 contracts.

In September 2022, structured products turnover value decreased by 3.1% year on year to PLN 327.3 million. ETF turnover value increased by 84.8% year on year to PLN 90.1 million.

At the end of September 2022, Catalyst listed non-Treasury bond value was PLN 94.7 billion, compared to PLN 96.7 billion at the end of September 2021. In September 2022, turnover value of bonds on Catalyst’s Electronic Order Book increased by 131.0% year on year to PLN 432.1 million.

In September 2022, total TBSP bond turnover value was PLN 17.0 billion, compared to PLN 44.1 billion in September 2021, representing a 61.3% decrease year on year.

Total September 2022 electricity turnover volume was 11.9 TWh, representing a 53.6% decrease year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume decreased by 26.9% year on year to 2.4 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume decreased by 57.6% year on year to 9.5 TWh.

Total September 2022 natural gas turnover volume was 10.2 TWh, representing a 59.3% decrease year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume decreased by 16.5% year on year to 1.4 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume decreased by 62.5% year on year to 8.7 TWh.

Turnover volume of September 2022 spot transactions in property rights to certificates of origin, excluding rights to certificates of energy efficiency (“white certificates”),[2] was 1.4 TWh, representing a 9.3% decrease year on year.

In September 2022, turnover volume of property rights to certificates of origin of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) increased by 43.5% year on year to 7.9 ktoe[3].

September 2022 turnover volume in Guarantees of Origin of electricity generated from renewable energy sources increased by 103.2% year on year to 4.0 TWh.

At the end of September 2022, the market capitalisation of 374 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 465.7 billion (EUR 95.6 billion), while the total market capitalisation of 419 domestic and foreign companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 963.3 billion (EUR 197.8 billion).

Shares of the companies BIOCELTIX S.A. and CASPAR ASSET MANAGEMENT S.A. (transfers from NewConnect) were newly listed on the Main Market in September 2022.

In September 2022, GPW held 22 trading sessions, compared to 22 sessions in September 2021.
