Investable Weight Factor Changes For Banca Antonveneta, Sanpaolo IMI And Terna SPA In The S&P/MIB Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/MIB Index effective after the close of trading on 28 April 2005.
  • Banca Antonveneta (Italy, IT0003270102) a member of the S&P/MIB Index, IWF (Investable Weight Factor) will change from 0.615 to 0.532. This is following the acquisition of ordinary shares by Banca Popolare di Lodi SCRL and ABN Amro Holding NV, which has increased their holdings to 28.66 and 18.115 percent respectively and the expiration of the current patto di sindicato (shareholders agreement).
  • Sanpaolo IMI (Italy, IT0001269361) a member of the S&P/MIB Index, IWF (Investable Weight Factor) will change from 0.727 to 0.673 following the acquisition of shares by IFIL Investments, which has increased its holding to 6.309 percent of ordinary shares outstanding.
  • Terna SPA (Italy, IT0003242622) a member of the S&P/MIB Index, IWF (Investable Weight Factor) will change from 0.639 to 0.586 following the acquisition of shares by Assicurazioni Generali SPA, which has increased its holding to 5.297 of ordinary shares outstanding.
